Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Studiobot (“Studiobot”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our website or get in touch with us. We are a creative and digital studio, and we treat your information with the same care we give our clients’ brands.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@studiobot.in or call +91 77360 38936.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical information that every website receives.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number, the services you’re interested in and your project message.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe to our Journal updates.
- Direct contact: anything you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider and the third-party services listed below receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.
We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, sensitive information such as financial or health details through the website.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project.
- To prepare proposals, deliver services and manage our working relationship if you become a client.
- To send our newsletter, if you subscribed — every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the website secure, working properly and to improve it.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Legal basis and consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent — for example when you tick the consent box on our contact form or subscribe to our newsletter — and, where applicable, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to comply with the law. This is in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where it applies to you, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
Cookies and third-party services
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. To load quickly and look the way it does, it relies on a few trusted third-party services, which may receive your IP address and browser details when their content loads:
- Google Fonts — delivers the typefaces used on the site.
- Content delivery networks (cdnjs, jsDelivr and the Tailwind CSS CDN) — deliver the scripts and styles that power animations and layout.
- YouTube — when you choose to play a video on our Work page, it is loaded from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube may set cookies once you press play.
- WhatsApp — if you use a “WhatsApp us” link, your conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
Each of these services is governed by its own privacy policy. If we add analytics or other tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Sharing your information
We share personal information only when needed to run our business — for example with our email, hosting and IT providers, who process it on our behalf and are required to keep it secure — or when the law requires it. If Studiobot is ever involved in a merger or sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction under the same protections.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and client information for as long as we work together plus the period required by law for tax and accounting records. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, we delete or anonymise the information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it;
- withdraw your consent or object to certain uses;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf (under the DPDP Act);
- raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the relevant data protection authority.
To make a request, email hello@studiobot.in. We’ll respond as soon as possible and within the time required by law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections and limited access to personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect what you share with us.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
